Never played xbox?

I love playing games, but I have never used an xbox 360 can you believe? It’s one of the most popular consoles — but I have always been a bit of a Nintendo fangirl, way back starting with the NES and now the wonderful Wii of course.

I might try get my hands on an xbox 360 though, I feel all left out and I know that I would love it. So why not?

Need so many new things.

I am looking for tv stands at the moment, I need one because we aren’t allowed to mount the telly on the wall in the new flat — boo, we have always had it on the wall so this is going to be strange — but at least we can get a nice one with a few extra selves so that we can also keep other things on there, the Wii and PVR and probably most of our DVD collection too. I came across a nice one already and you can get 20% cashback on it which makes it a sweet deal, but I am going to have to get my tape measure out before purchasing!

I would still prefer it to be on the wall, it takes up a lot of room and we hardly have room to swing a cat as it is, but what can you do. Landlord says no, answer is no.

…you have spent the day rushing around getting every thing that needed doing done so that you can have a big Wii session later on, only to find out that you’ve lost the scart adaptor thingy and therefore can’t play the games you rented.

Doh.

It’s not the first time I have done thing, in fact it’s probably about the 5th. You’d think I would learn to put it some where safe when not in use, but apparently I don’t have that level of common sense!

Last night I did some serious research about soft modding my Wii, once I felt confident enough I went for it — I figured what is the worse that can happen? I won the thing and I am too cheap to buy games for it, so why not?

It went well. it went perfectly. I now have a soft modded Wii and access to as many games as I want without having to pay a penny. Happy days.

Mario Kart, Mario Galaxy and Zelda are top of my list

Nintendo Fan Girl Alert!!!

I am a Nintendo fan girl, simple as that.

I have always preferred Nintendo consoles above all overs, right from the days of the NES up until the awesome Wii. I still have my N64 and actually just last week I bought a few games for it…the mighty Blast Corps as well as Banjo Tooie which I never got around to playing the first time around. For me it’s still the best console ever made and Zelda Ocarina of Time is the best game on the planet.

Back in the 2000s now though — I also have had a DS for a few years, pink of course. And as you know I was lucky enough to win a Wii a while ago — truly the biggest and best prize I have ever won in my life. I was so excited and it still has that ‘Oooh new Wii’ feel about it every time I look at it! I was on ShopWiki.com earlier looking at prices for the console and the game and it makes me appreciate that I won it even more because there’s no way I could have afforded one myself at the moment. I also performed a search for a few games, including Zack and Wiki which I already ordered — I wanted to see if I got a good price on it and since ShopWiki searches so many merchants in on simply click I can be sure I have

The Blob…again

Annnd what was I just saying about The Blob keeping me up well past my bed time? It’s now 6.30am and I just finished a level, my eyes have been falling asleep on me for over an hour already but it’d taken so long I wasn’t about to give up and have to do it all again.

Love the game, seriously do.

But it really needs a half way save point.

Off to bed with me.

I have been playing this so much on the Wii that I won from Quidco, which arrived last week by the way, I don’t remember if I mentioned that or not.

The levels are so long though, it can take over an hour just to get through one, when you start trying to complete all the mini games and colour every thing in you are looking at 2 hours and there’s no save point throughout.

I have accidentally ended up staying up until past 6am several nights since I started playing it.

Oh well, it’s better to lose sleep over a game because you are enjoying it so much than because you are annoyed you wasted your money on such rubbish!

I only just went and won a bloomin Wii!

I never win any thing, so to win something that I actually want and have wanted for a long time is amazing.

It was a prize draw via Quidco, a cashback site that I have been using for a few years now. It was no effort to enter either, you just had to leave a comment on a blog entry and then five winners were chosen at random

I can’t wait to get home now so that I can play it!

Plans for while I am away

While I am away, we are going to go out for a curry with the other halves work colleagues. We are going to go to the pub with his best friends and I am going to meet one of their fiances for the first time. We are going to go to the Casino with some of his old school friends, we are going to go to the ‘De Lux’ Showcase cinema and best of all we are going to a big Firework display.

I am also likely to spend a lot of time playing De Blob on the Wii which I have bought just to keep me entertained while I am there, I have heard it’s a great game and highly addictive. I just hope it leaves me with enough time to blog

I’ve become completely obsessed with the game ‘The Blob’ for the PC since I discovered I could download it for free about a week ago, it’s such a simple little game but brilliantly addictive — made by some design students as part of some coursework I believe — but recently bought up by Nintendo (I am SO getting it for the Wii).

I just wish it were longer, I have already completed it several times as well as completed my own little missions I set for myself…paint every building, collect all the tokens, paint all the buildings blue etc.
