I think he wants to go to Tenby, the place we usually go on holiday in South Wales — I’ve made clear I want to go somewhere special on our honeymoon. I want to take one of those Mediterranean cruises every other bride seems to get to go on, or hop off somewhere exciting like Egypt, or even just sun myself in Greece.

He doesn’t get it.

He hates flying, he hates boats, he hates travelling.

Oh yes, I can see a few arguments coming our way over this one. Just gotta be mindful I don’t turn into one of those Bridezilla types that I blogged about a few days ago.

Do you think the world is trying to tell me something?

One of the shows was Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares from last week or so, where at the end he made the guy propose to the girl then sprung a ‘surprise’ wedding on them…and it was officially the moment I fell out of love with Gordon Ramsey, he’s completely sold out. In the UK that show is about him helping to save restaurant’s that suck for some reason, he works with the owners, he does a follow up that is realistic a while later. In the American version of the show it’s all about him ‘fixing’ broken families, making fathers show their love for their children, he barely even steps into the kitchen, he makes changes without consulting the owners (and of course they ALWAYS love it!), he doesn’t do any sort of follow up, the show just ends when they’ve had one successful service, and he sells out to ridiculous gimmicks like a ‘surprise’ weddings — and if any one really believes they didn’t know that was going to happen, they need a doctor!

Gordon Ramsey sucks now.

I wish that we could go to Ikea right now, I am almost looking forward to that day as much as my wedding day!

I am going to stop now though, because my eyes have gone square from staring at this monitor for so long, they need a wee rest and so do I :)

As previously mentioned we met online back in 1999 in Dreamarena, the chat room on the sega dreamcast – we became friends over time and eventually met up one drunken night in 2003 and were almost immediately a couple. He lived 70 miles away from me and was the only one of us who could drive, he also worked 6 nights a week so for a while it was very difficult and over the first few years we almost broke up a few times because I couldn’t handle the long distance. Thankfully we stuck it out and things got easier.

We got engaged July 2007, after 4 years of being together. We weren’t and still aren’t in any rush to get married or have kids, we may be pushing 30 but we are big kids at heart.

I wouldn’t be without him.

LosingPounds.org is all about my weight loss journey and quest to live a healthier life.

All I need now is a blog about my impending nuptuals and one about bingo and I’ll be set :)
