I know it’s a shocker, but I did…I went into town and I got a 2009 diary from Wilkinsons, I had asked the other half to get me one for Christmas but he didn’t, he was then going to get me one for new year, but didn’t — so I just gave up and got one for myself.

It’s great, as well as being a week per page diary in a nice shocking pink leather it also has an address book and pen with it!

Then we popped to Matalan and I managed to get an Everlast sports bra for just £1.50 in their final clearance sale.

Finally I went to Tesco and I got some new headphones for using on my computer at night, my old ones went and died on me just before Christmas.

I like shopping

It used to drive me crazy that whenever I would send texts it’d just come back as ‘failed’ — I spent ages trying to work out what was going on and eventually gave up. Today I got a new sim card, activated it on Facebook and thought I’d give it a try…it worked, simple as it should be.

I guess that it was something to do with the network rather than any thing else, I was on Virgin, am now on Tesco!

Having said that I recently discovered the best ice cream in the world — ever.

Tescos own Mintilicious Ice Cream = heaven. I only allow myself to eat it once, maybe twice per month and I look forward to ice cream day from the second I finish off the last one! I sit there making “mmmmmmm, oooohhhh, mmmmmmm” noises throughout.

Damn you delicious foods, why do you all have to be loaded with calories.

I am now also waiting for two more things, my scales from Tesco and some items I ordered from BargainCrazy — I think Mr Postman doesn’t like me any more. Either that or my house suddenly became invisible. Hmm.

I just ordered these Weight Watchers scales from Tesco Direct, how exciting. I have had my eye on them for ages, but around £40 including delivery seemed excessive so I restrained myself.

Today they dropped in price to £29.99, there is a £5 off code kicking around, I arranged to get them collected to save on delivery cost, I remembered I could use my mums advantage card to get her 10% staff discount and I went through Quidco for an additional 7% off — total cost = Under £20. Now that’s what I call a bargain, my skills astound even myself hehe

The scales I currently use are rubbish, they are so temperamental that you can step on them and weigh x.x one minute, step straight back on and you’ve gained or lost as much as 2 lbs and they eat up batteries like no ones business. These babies are meant to be more precise, they measure in 0.1lb increments, and also measure BMI, body fat and body water and use a lithium battery!

Can’t wait to get them, my only fear is…as we know different scales can give you different read outs…what if these have me a few pounds higher than the current ones? I’ll be distraught, I work hard to lose every pound I lose!
