Move Impending, move impending!

I am starting to freak out about the impending move to our new place next year, it might still be 3 months away, but looking into what I need to get done before the move that really isn’t long at all.

I have been doing a lot of research online while I was away and begun writing lists, lists upon lists upon lists.

I am so grateful to have come across Relocation.com on my travels, the information available on the site is not only vast, offering help on every thing from moving services to home improvement tips, it’s also extremely well written and easy to understand, even for freaking out first time movers like me.

…web wise, once my computer is all fixed up by my lovely other half I am going to be ordering new webhosting. Yes, I finally picked a host. I was going to wait until the end of the week by as I am going shopping on Thursday now I am going to her her done asap instead.

This site won’t actually be moving, so it won’t affect you. I am going to just move over my main reality tv site for now to see if the new boys can handle the traffic it gets. If yes, I will move all of my other sites (Ugh, big job!) in around a months time.

Hopefully this move will go smoothly though, more downtime will not look good after I was down for 3 or 4 days just a few weeks ago.

One of the things I know I want when we move into the new place, is that it be modern.

The place we are in now is rented so we’ve never really been able to put our own stamp on the joint, now we will own outright you can be sure the place is going to be exactly how I want it. Modern bedroom, modern bathroom, modern kitchen…modern is obviously the key word here.

It will completely reflect the fact we are a young, relaxed couple.

I just wish it was January already. Can..not..wait.

New House

I can’t believe it’s finally actually happening. And it really is such a nice place too, on our budget I had imagined something a lot more old fashioned and modest in size. It even has decking — DECKING — I have decking in my new house, squee squee!

I like lists, does that make me a nerd?

I’ve been starting to prepare for the big move into our new house in January, it’s still such a long time away but I am doing what I can.

I just seriously cannot wait to start on shopping to kit the place out, I am in the process of writing a list at the moment of everything we’ll need, and I mean everything — from a nice big double bed and maxim lighting throughout, right down to a potato peeler and some new face cloths!

I need cushions and curtains and carpets and EVERYTHING

I’ve been doing little else other than thinking about what I need to buy for our new house, I am extremely excited about it all but I already know it’s going to be very stressful for us — they say that moving house is the second most stressful event don’t they, after divorce? Or is it the other way around? Either way, we know it’s stressful.

I don’t have enough details about the place we are moving into yet to be able to make a start on actual shopping, I don’t know what we need or the sizes of the rooms etc — but that isn’t stopping me from doing all the shopping in my head or looking online.

I came across TheCurtainShop.com during my travels and it looks like an interesting site, they sell everything from sheer curtains drapes to bedding to drapery rods and hardware. Plus they offer price matching, meaning if you find what they sell cheaper elsewhere let them know and they will match that price. They also offer free shipping on all orders over $100. As mentioned before, free shipping is always a deal breaker for me, I hate paying postage charges!

Yet another link for my bookmarks folder, it’s going to be the size of a small building when the times comes around that I am actually able to start buying and not just looking

I am such a nerd, but I have spent all evening…and I mean all evening sans a 10 minute break to eat some cereal…on home furnishing sites such as Ikea — I just can’t contain my excitement, I have been looking forward to kitting out my new digs for what seems like forever, and is in reality 4 years. I wish that we could go to Ikea right now, I am almost looking forward to that day as much as my wedding day!

I am going to stop now though, because my eyes have gone square from staring at this monitor for so long, they need a wee rest and so do I

I’m so excited, I just can’t hide it.

I am so excited I think I might just pop — literally, I am bouncing up and down inside and out.

I just found out that me and the other half are going to be moving into our very own house in January, best Christmas present ever or what? I have been dreaming about this moment for the last 4 years and now it is finally happening. I couldn’t be happier.

Obviously we are going to have to tighten our belts somewhat, but that’s OK because I am great at bargain hunting and saving and earning money! I can’t wait to move in, I can’t wait to go shopping to buy new things for the house, I can’t wait to decorate…I just can’t wait, can’t wait, can’t bloomin wait!
