The whole thing was a bit of a non event to be honest, which is why I didn’t blog about it — I told every one not to make a fuss and I didn’t really want or need any thing new so ended up without many presents. I was fine with that, though I admit I was upset that my fiance completely forgot, he didn’t even wish me a happy birthday until ten to midnight after his Mum had asked him if I received her card. He lost a lot of brownie points there for sure.

I have already been looking around and so far I have found this one Hublot watch I think he may like, it’s the one pictured in this post in case that isn’t already clear.

I will definitely have to ask him first though, because I have picked out loads of watches I thought he would like and he didn’t!

I could really do with getting an early night tonight but I know it won’t happen, I am too excited and I accidentally stayed asleep for an extra hour today. Doh.

Then on Wednesday is my mums 60th birthday, lots of plans with the family and stuff.

Thursday I am doing my final Christmas shopping trip, with my mum as sort of part of her birthday present.

So, if you don’t hear from me until Friday you know why — busy busy

I’d like to get the bracelet because then I could have an engraving put on it, but I don’t think she really wears them whereas I know she loves her earrings. Hmm what to do, what to do.

So I wracked my brain and decided that some sort of trip away would be nice, so have suggested they get her some sort of health retreat, pampering session or spa treatment. They seemed to like the idea and I am sure my mum will appreciate it also

While I was searching for Spas in the area I came across ‘The Little Day Spa’ in Sarasota, Florida — not exactly local so they won’t be sending her there, but it did make me all dreamy and wanting to go there myself — it looks absolutely stunning, set in beautiful surroundings and they offer all kinds of ways to relax, pamper and treat oneself. Including waxing, massage, foot and hand treatments and general skin care Sarasota FL looks like an amazing place.

We’re not really ‘big fuss’ people in my family, so there won’t be a party or any sort of big celebration — but I would like to get her something nice, like…really nice. I was thinking of some diamond earrings or a lovely watch. The problem is that if I told her this or asked her to pick something she’d NOT want me to spend that much money and pick something out that costs £10 — so I’d have to just pick something for her and hope she likes it, a dangerous game when it’s such an expensive item.

So what I thought I might do is pick some items from a website and create my own html page with the images on to show to her, that way she won’t see the price and will genuinely chose what she likes the most — clever huh?

Then I thought to myself; “Wait a minute, is it my 30th??”

I took me a good few minutes to rack my brain and do some maths, and come to the conclusion that no, it isn’t my 30th next, I am only 28 now making me 29 next.
