When furniture attacks

A few nights ago I did something silly, I opened a cupboard door on my face and almost made myself pass out. The funny thing is it’s not the first time I have been attacked by furniture — I am such a clumsy person honestly.

I woke up the following day with a right shiner on my left eye, though it’s gone away pretty quickly it was still annoying and embarrassing.

I used to love the barcode scanner at work, when I first started there I was like a kid playing shop…loving it every time I needed to use it.

It stopped working after a while though and they never replaced it, we went from using that to using plu codes for every thing and not only was it a pain in the behind, it also wasn’t nearly as much fun.

I had been waiting for bed time for about the last 12 hours, I was shattered…but when I actually came to go to bed I couldn’t sleep, isn’t that just typical? I often have that happen, it’s like I am too tired to sleep…which is ridiculous I know. I am getting a new sleep number bed in a few weeks time, maybe that will help? My current bed is old and creaky, I am long overdue a nice new one

We just put some pantry moth traps in the downstairs pantry, I hate it in there, it’s so dark and dank and just creepy to me.

Despite the fact it gets used all the time, like several times a day, we are always in and out because we keep a lot of stuff in there — from food and drink to shoes and coats and the like — it still gets all dusty and full of cobwebs, I guess the crawlies just like it down there.

Hopefully the traps will solve at least one of the many problems

Getting a bed rest

I am getting a few bed rests soon, you know the ones I mean…memory foam shaped cushion type things that you can use on the bed for all manner of reasons.

I currently sleep with four pillows, I don’t even know why but I need to be pretty elevated in order to be comfortable. The problem with pillows of course is that they move about and fall off the bed a lot, so a bed rest is on the wish list — it’s a much more practical solution

I have a migraine today, it’s been a while so I guess it was due, but boooooo.

It began a few hours after I woke up…eyes started going, so I took some pills and got back into bed — thought I had got to it early enough to knock it out but it came back with a vengeance about 3 hours ago.

It’s eased off again now, but I know that is only going to last so long so I don’t want to spend too long online and I am sure I will be getting an early night tonight.

It is meant to snow tonight, and as much as I love snow I now hope it doesn’t because I won’t be able to watch it, let along go out and play in it!

Come on migraine, play nice and leave me in peace!

Still a lot of snow around

It stopped snowing 6 days ago now, it stopped at around 5am on Tuesday morning last week — but you’d never guess to look outside, it still looks very white out there. Reminds me of the old days of snow where it would stick around for weeks and weeks to the point that I would get bored of seeing it.

It Snowed!

I love snow, honestly. I am 28 but I get as excited as a kid when it starts to come down. I went out to play in it on at least 4 occasions, I made a snow man, I jumped in snow drifts as tall as my head and I stood in the middle of a roundabout at 5am.

It stopped snowing in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, but they say that there is more to come over the next few days so fingers crossed for that. Here are just a few pictures of the 100s I took

Good Customer Service

My lovely other half just got some new digital signage at his restaurant — it was needed because the whole place had a make over not so long ago and the old signs didn’t fit in.

The first one they got actually had to go back because it just didn’t work, I don’t know if they used cheap materials or it was just a colour clash, but it looked awful.

The people who did it were great though, they took it back as soon as we said we were not happy with it and made sure they got it right for us, love good customer service

Hello 2009

I can’t believe it’s 2009 already, my how time flies. It doesn’t seem like 5 minutes ago it was turning 2000!

We went out to the local pub with some friends, watched some fireworks and then came home and have been playing N64 since. Nothing like a bit of retro gaming to bring in the new year.
