Outdoor lighting

We need to look into outdoor lighting for the back yard. There is a light out there but it has never worked and we are not sure we want to get it working as it’s one of those security ones that comes on when it senses movement and in my experience those things never really work. We’d rather have something pretty that we can turn on and off ourselves as and when it’s needed

Weeding at the weekend

I really need to go get some sort of aquatic weed control products at the moment, we got a pond a while ago now and it’s harder to take care of than I was expecting – we have let it slide a little bit and it now needs a serious clean up, especially getting rid of the weeds that have overtaken it!

Bathroom Lighting

We need to sort out our bathroom lighting, we had spotlights fitted when we did it up a few months ago but they have never really worked right — we’ve been putting off getting them fixed as there was so much other stuff in the house that needed doing first, but you have to get to these things sooner or later don’t you?

The next room in the new house we are going to concentrate on is the bathroom, really it shouldn’t be that high on the priority list but the bathroom is my haven — I love spending time and relaxing in there even more so than the bedroom, so it’s next on the list.

We can’t find bathroom fixtures and fittings we both agree on however, as it turns out we have very different tastes in most home decor related areas and neither of us is willing to hand over that decision making power to the other.

I sense a lot of bickering to come over the next few months lol

So, looks like moving house and then coming down with some sort of virus kept me away from blogging for over a week, oopsie.

I am still feeling a little unwell to be honest, I am not sure what’s wrong with me but I keep getting these waves of nausea — it’s not fun.

I am meant to be going birthday shopping tomorrow and I am not sure I will be up for it. Shopping when someone else is playing and I might not be up for it?! That’s seriously messed up man hehe

We’re now officially moved. Hurrah.

It took longer than expected to get the computer up and running again — I should have known that once we actually got here it would shoot right down the priority list! It’s been up for a few days but I have just been too busy and tired out to blog!

I will take some pictures and post them up over the next few days, once I have found my camera!

I have been very busy the last week or so preparing to move house, I thought I had actually blogged to say as much before I got busy but apparently I didn’t? Apologies if you have all been missing me and wondering where I went to, how terrible of me to leave you with withdrawl symptons hehe

I shall still be busy for a while, we actually move tomorrow.

But I will try to blog when I can.

Need new luggage

I realised yesterday that I don’t have any luggage, my last suitcase fell to pieces (that’ll teach me not to buy cheap luggage!) the last time I used it, and although I intended to go buy some more I obviously forgot — now that I actually need it of course, I don’t have any and have now found myself in quite the pickle.

I am going shopping on Tuesday so I had better hope I can get some then otherwise I am going to be taking my things in bin bags haha

I’ve never hosted a New Years Eve party before, in fact I have never hosted any party before! I have never had a home I was able to throw one in before as I have always lived either in my parents house or in rented flats — this time next year however I will be in my own home so a New Years Eve party is something I’d really like to do, a long with a house warming party, 30th birthday party for the other half, Halloween party…oh my there will be no stopping me once I get started.

I will have to visit Celebrations.com, they have lots of new years eve party ideas as well as new years eve ideas in general and I will need all the help I can get.

I don’t have any plans currently for this up coming New Years Eve, I would really like to go out and do something — since I have my lovely new dress and shoes to give an outing, but even if we don’t end up going to a party or into town or something I will make sure we have a good time and bring in 2009 with a BANG

Only two months to go!

House move now officially only two months away — err, eeep! It’s crept up so so fast I couldn’t believe it when I realised the date today. I seriously cannot wait but at the same time…I need time to go slower so that I can fully prepare for it, I am no where near ready yet.

Even though we have our new house set now, I still visit Schumacher Homes now and then though just to look at their stunning properties and dream of the day I can get them to build my dream home! These guys are well respected in the industry and you can see how highly they come recommended by simply reading some of the Schumacher Homes Press available online.
