Can you believe it’s that time of year again already, exam results are on their way in and a new set of young adults are preparing to set off for university. Only seems like yesterday it was me, but that was over ten years ago now, wow.

Diet Pills

My Mum asked me which diet pill I would recommend to her earlier and I told her I wouldn’t, I don’t see the need for them myself and don’t know any thing about them — but she insisted and so have been looking up slimming pills reviews for her to see what is out there and what real people who actually use the products think of them.

I am still going to try and talk her out of using any though.

The forums have been down for well over 12 hours now and I need my fix! I am a newbie over there, had an account for a few months but only really became active a few days ago and I was already hooked, spending several hours a day on there — as I was half way through sending a PM to someone that I am selling a text link to last night, boom, down it went and it has not come back since.

Hopefully it will be restored in full working order soon.

Designated Internet Expert

I have just been getting some insurance quotes for my dad, his car insurance is up for renewal in a few weeks and as I seem to be the designated Internet expert in my family I get all of the most interesting jobs, groan.

I don’t mind actually, with all the comparison sites out there these days they are pretty fast and easy to go and I do know all the best cashback sites to use to get the best bang for your buck.

Plus, yanno, it’s kinda nice to feel needed

Pop up adverts, why do they even still exist? Everyone hates them, every one tries to block them and I am sure like me, out of principle alone, no one would actually buy or sign up to any thing that is being sold through pop up advertising.

I post on a US TV shows forum that has constant popups and they drive me mad — if I didn’t love the site so much I would never visit again.

I heard about a program called Ad Muncher a while ago which is meant to be really effective in blocking popups and other embedded ads.

I am going to Try Ad Muncher now and see if it makes my online life more pleasurable!

My ISP Bargain update

Remember my post a few days ago about my ISP bargain? Well yeah, it seems I was gloating about that too quickly — I found out today that I can’t get it because…well…some technical reason about the exchange I am on not being able to handle it or something…I don’t know, all I do know is that I am not getting my super duper killer deal on a years super fast broadband and will now have to stick with my old ISP.

Further to my last post, I am definitely going to spend the money I get from selling my prize rather than save it because I do rarely do that — treat myself — so I have been looking at a number of sites and electronics blog sites to try and get inspiration.

A laptop is really the only electronic thing I am interested in, but £70 would not cover the cost fully…so I shall keep looking and considering Wii Fit, I am sure I will see something that takes my fancy.

My ISP bargain

I have been happy with my ISP for a few years now, and a part from a few hiccups last week that annoyed me I still am happy with them, but I have been lured away by a bargain — I just can’t resist them can I?

It costs just £9.79 per month, which is already less than half of what I am paying now — but that’s not where it ends, they have a promotion on at the moment where you get your first 3 months free.

So 9 x 9.79 = £88.11. Compared to the 12 x £19.99 = 239.88 I am paying now I am sure you can see why I was tempted.

But still that’s not it, until the end of the month Quidco, a cashback site I use, are offering a whopping £70 cashback on all new sign ups making the total for a year of upto 20mb speed and unlimited download broadband just £18.11 — less than one month on my current ISP.

Crazy, huh?

Like I say I am not moving because I am unhappy with my host, so lets just hope I don’t live to regret moving for a bargain!

What is it with things going wrong or breaking the last week or so.

First my headphones broke. Then my speakers broke. Then my Heart Rate Monitor broke. Then my ISP broke and I couldn’t get online for several hours. Now my ISP is broken again and I am on dial up speeds. Today the company I work for online dropped their minimum payout ten fold and now my mobile phone has stopped working.

It never rains but it pours, hey?

I just hope that if things continue to go pear shaped, they at least stay as small things that are fixable and don’t grow into broken legs and blown up televisions etc!
