On it’s last legs

We really need a new receipt printer at work, we’ve been telling the bosses about it for months and they keep saying they will get one soon but it never seems to appear and they don’t tell us what exactly ‘soon’ means. The one we have was ancient when I started working here and that was several years ago now so it’s no wonder it’s on it’s last legs!
