I considered registering my first .au domain a few weeks ago, even though I am from the United Kingdom — see, on one of my other web sites I post news, videos and information about a wide array of reality tv shows and one of the biggest ones I post is The Biggest Loser Australia and I was considering expanding on that with it’s very own domain. I searched and searched however and there was no appropriate names available so I kind of forgot about it.
There is big news for Australian domain owners, the well known domain and indeed biggest Australian domain name registrar is now in partnership with Netfleet Australia, the domain trading site! They currently have over 7000 domain names available and what is brilliant is that they take no fees or commission, the site is 100% free to use — but by partnering with NetRegistry, a site with a huge costumer base, they hope to expand into something much bigger and better — it is a hugely beneficial partnership for both parties and the .au domain aftermarket in general.
