You know, it wasn’t until a few years ago that I learned that the British are known for having ‘bad teeth’ by America, just one of the many stereotypes the world has about us apparently…along with the fact we all wear bowler hats and talk like the queen – it wasn’t something I had ever thought about until that point, so I did find it very strange at first – but thinking about it, they may have a point, of course it varies per person…not all Brits have bad teeth and I am sure those who say it know that it’s just a stereotype, my teeth are lovely because I know the importance of dental hygiene…I don’t like to think of it as the British having bad teeth though, more Americans all having perfect teeth!
It’s true, it’s rare to see Americans on TV at least without their perfect, straight, shiny white teeth…I wonder how much of that is ‘Au Naturale’ though and how much of it is thanks to a trip to a dentist for some serious cosmetic dentistry in lincoln park or one of the other many places people can go to get some work done on their pearly whites.
