I have blogged about payday loans, financial assistance and managing your accounts in the past several times and I still stand by what I have always said — I am extremely grateful that I have always been sensible with money and never found myself in a position to need that sort of help.
The other half on the other hand, not so good with money. In fact I think I would say we are exact opposites — spends what he doesn’t have and I don’t spend what I do have.
When we first got together he was already heavily in debt so I had to do a lot of learning about things fast and after a few years when he was in a much better position and his debts were on the verge of being gone — he bought a new car and put himself right back to square one.
I despaired with him, but eventually you just have to accept that not everyone is wired the same way. And as much as payday loans seem crazy to me, for some people they are a necessity, a way of life even.
I heard about a company called Yellow Leaf (great name!) a while ago and will be spending some time on the site tonight — they offer a different kind of payday loan that I am interested to learn about and then share with you.
